Job description
The Plumbing & HVAC Manager supervises the Hotel Maintenance Department’s HVAC employees and oversees the safe installation and maintenance of all commercial grade plumbing and HVAC systems to include but not limited to; building heat plants, ventilation systems, air conditioning, controls systems, refrigeration and LP delivery as well as the follow essential duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead HVAC technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
- Develops heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system modification plans and estimates jobs for remodel activities.
- Creates and maintains a preventive maintenance program that encompasses all commercial building at JPR.
- Interprets as-built building blueprints and recommends system modifications for remodel projects in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Researches and selects materials for HVAC systems installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Familiarity with maintaining a complex Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Implements energy savings projects.
- Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related or unrelated to original position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 2 or more employees in the Building Maintenance Dept. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
