If it is covered bridges, spotted cows and farmers’ markets you seek…look elsewhere. This is the Top of VT.
There is no better time to Discover Vermont then during President’s day week and winter school vacation time.
We have so many winter activities in our Jay Peak Area during this time of year.
You could go check out Lake Memphremagog and participate in an Ice fishing Derby, Go on a Dog sled Ride, Go “Fat Bike” riding, or just be outside enjoying skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and snowmobile riding. Also Jay Peak Resort host a great week of events for Mardi Gras.
It’s not that you won’t find such things up here. It’s just that they’re so…tame. The Top of VT is a bit unruly. An area of the Green Mountains that resists being defined by postcard images. Where people find a place where the clamor and confusion of everyday life is replaced by preciousness stillness and views of boundless expanse; where they discover a community shaped as much by weather and wilderness, as the quirky culture that comes with living and working along an International border.
So yeah, we’ve got bridges. They just moan with a bit more history. And the spots on our cows are more lopsided than most. And as to our Farmers’ Markets, well, you have to see them to believe them.
Come on in and see what's waiting for you in the Jay Peak Region at the Top of VT.
